Inovar na Formação de Adultos para o Empreendedorismo, Inovação e Gestão de Pessoas
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Advancis development strategy was designed in order to confirm its role as a knowledge bridge between Portugal and Europe and to support the continuous development strategy of the company to what concerns the pedagogical and technical competences of the learning facilitators and consultants. Therefore, it was critical to Advancis: - Continually improve content and curricula within the areas of knowledge in which it operates - Adopt new pedagogical approaches that bring added value to the learning process - Distinguish itself by the high quality standards adopted - Establish international networks that potentiate the internationalization The mobility of adult education was key for enabling Advancis achieve these goals and enhance the effort the company made in recent years by participating in international projects, to: - Allow the participation of its trainers (co-responsibles for the development of new courses) in the forefront of training in priority areas of knowledge for Advancis - entrepreneurship, innovation and people management. - Allow the participation of its trainers (co-responsible for the definition of pedagogical approaches in courses offered by Advancis) in training to transmit knowledge and skills in innovative pedagogical approaches, including collaborative approaches with ICT resources. - Allow the participants in mobility (co-responsible for organizing the training in Advancis), exposing themselves to other training organization models. The design of the project, in coherence with the organization European Development Plan, was also supported by an extensive analysis of the learning offer across Europe. Due to the fact that some knowledge and competences gaps were critical to the company and not easily achieved throw ready-to-deliver courses, the organization made an extra effort to ensure some tailor-made courses and to select high-rated training providers. This option had impact also in the cost of the overall project (and a need for the organization to support some additional costs) but the cost-benefit ratio was highly positive. The project involved 35 mobilities and 4 receiving organizations in different European countries (Netherlands, Malta and Denmark). The evaluation of the project, both in terms of structural and content aspects is highly positive for the participants involved but also for the organization that clearly benefited from a positive impact from the learning activities. Individually, the participants have already incorporated the knowledge and competences gained not only in the design of their learning experiences but also on the development of new training curricula and new pedagogical approaches to existing curricula. Concerning the company, the impact has been noted in terms of the learning offer (new courses delivered and new learning methods applied) but also in terms of networking and development of new international partnerships in the field of learning and adult education in particular. In the long term, the organization is also working, upon the impact of the first experience, on the design and development of an international learning lab to showcase best practices in lifelong learning and stimulate community learning experiences.
