Start date: Jun 17, 2014, End date: Dec 31, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

Innovation is a key factor in the work of youth organizations. Youth are constantly in change and young people are looking for new ways to learn and develop themselves, especially under the spectrum of the financial crisis in Europe. New approaches are needed to address these changes and YEU envisions being at the front of these innovations. YEU intends to inspire, dream, take chances and support youth workers! In this context, the idea of “Innovative YE(U)!” was born. “Innovative YE(U)!” is an 8 days training course that will take place in Brussels, Belgium between 24/11/2014 and 01/12/2014. It will involve 36 participants with youth work background The aim of the training course is to equip youth workers and partner organizations with the competences to create innovative activities in order to continue support youth effectively. Among the objectives of the project are; • Share new and innovative approaches, tools, concepts and activities • Explore different creativity techniques • Empower participants to be innovate on a constant basis • Develop new approaches, tools, activities and projects • Learn how the Erasmus+ Programme can support youth activities • Create an “innovation action plan” for every youth worker participating in the project • Develop the online publication “Guide to innovation in youth work” In order to achieve these objectives, YEU aims to use a broad arsenal of non-formal education methods that will enable the participants to interact with each other, take an active role in the project and direct their learning. The training course, apart from developing different skills, knowledge and attitudes to the participants, it will produce 36 follow-up "innovation action plans" and the online publication “Guide to innovation in youth work”. The follow-up action plans will be implemented in all countries and partners involved in this project, while the online publication will be disseminated to other international NGOs and youth work stakeholders. YEU believes that this training course and its results will enable youth organizations to be innovative, creative , passionate and adjust to the needs of the current conditions and context. New perspectives will be given to youth work, underlining its importance in developing young people personally and professionally.
