Innovation and Business Cooperation

The Project is stimulating the regional cooperation by promoting the accumulated practices to the EU-Russia policy level turning the growing process from bottom up. Objectives of the project are based on Triple Helix approach combining the efforts of business-university-government cooperation to the systematic and regular practices. The project is utilising the existing cooperation, which were started already many years ago. Reflecting the accumulated experience the project is continuing and enlarging the already available resources into the new level of cooperation involving the policy-making regions. The specific objectives of the project are the following: 1. Enlarging the cooperation between Universities in educational and R&D fields by introducing the new products and services and enlarging the number of cooperating universities other EU and Russia regions. 2. Improving the support and development possibilities for the innovative companies from the cooperating regions by implementing the tailor made new products and services activating the possibilities on internationalisation the businesses. 3. Stimulating the conventional companies to entry to modernisation process by providing specially designed new products and services in combination with professional consulting services. 4. Developing the basics for innovative services on g2b level on cross-border regions supporting the internationalisation processes both for innovative and conventional companies. 5. Insuring the sustainability of the regional cooperation by expanding the information dissemination in the capital regions and influencing to EU-Russian Innovation Cooperation (ERICO) "from bottom up. Achievements: Innovation and Business Cooperation (InnoBus) project's overall objective was to develop cooperation in innovation and business field in the cross-border region. This project was executed in collaboration of 14 partners sharing already existing cooperation networks in the CBC activities. The project reached for example following outcomes: University cooperation resulted "Benchmarking study aimed at determination of potential partners for FRIU" (Finnish-Russian Innovation University) network and several new services for potential cooperation universities (available at http://www.innopartnership.ru/en/projects/friu and http://iris.lut.fi/academic-network/academic-network/finnish-russian-innovation-university-network). Modernization and Internationalization of Companies resulted the research called "InnoBus-Modernization research of the North West Russian SME's 2012" and three guidelines targeted to Finnish and Russian companies operating in the cross-border regions. During the project, eight experts were trained for modernization work and 19 companies were involved to the development activities. The Governmental e-Services were piloted in mobile apps for iOS and Android. The work of Innovation Cooperation Promotion to EU-Russia Innovation Cooperation (ERICO) resulted three concrete outcomes: two EU-Russia Innovation Forums, two Cross-border Innovation Exhibitions and two EU-Russia Innovation Matching events.
