At the present time with new technologies and increasingly globalized world learning a foreign language especially English is extremely important. Learning a foreign language is not only important for business life but also for social life. Because the development of technology shortens the distance between countries and removes the cultural distances and the borders between countries. Learning a foreign language is not open to discussions because of increasingly developing technologies. Turkey gives more importance on learning and teaching English to follow the technologies of digital era, the developments in science. Speaking English is not enough for coming up with new technologies and using Information and Communication Technologies, learning a foreign language is the most important primarily circumstance. For two centuries, Turkey has been dealing with teaching and learning foreign language. Occasionally, different political views effected teaching foreign language approaches, methods and techniques. However, foreign language teaching starts from at the early ages from primary schools till higher education; the education system is not successful. In Turkey, the educational authorities support the importance of speaking a foreign language and change the systems of foreign language education. The aims of the Project: -In Erasmus+ Program Guide,” being multilingual is one of the most important stones of the program and it is one of strongest symbols of EU’s diversities in a union. Foreign languages is crucially important to supply people have more qualifications for labor market and evaluate the present opportunities. EU aims that every single citizens should learn at least two foreign languages at early ages. “ -Triggering foreign language teachers using new best innovative modern foreign language teaching methods and strategies. -Disseminating the project results in Karaman to enhance the quality of foreign language teaching. -Sharing experiences with the colleagues from Europe and Portugal with the training and the course. -Recognizing the new cultures and introducing their cultures. -Developing the participants’ professional and communicational skills. Project Participants: Total number of the participants will be 34. There will be 10 from Karaman Provincial Directorate for National Education and two participants from all the Consortium Members. There will be two different mobility activities in Portugal. Total number of the participants will be divided in equal number (17) for the mobility activities. The participants for mobility activities will be chosen from teachers working in foreign language education field. Thus we aim to raise quality of foreign language education in Karaman. Participants will be responsible for sharing the information and experiences gathered in mobility activities to their colleagues in Karaman. Participants from Karaman Provincial Directorate for National Education; -Participants will be English Language teachers from EU and Forein Affairs Unit, especially secondary and basic education department offices. The English Language teachers and department chiefs will be responsible for giving 15 houred seminar to the schools related to their department office after mobility activities. EU and Forein Affairs Unit will be responsible for organizng the seminar and dissemintion and sharing gathered information and experiences during mobility activities. -Participants from Consortium Members; There will two participants from all the consortium members. These participants will especially chosen from foreign language (English) teachers. Participants will be in touch with their colleagues in their schools and share the experiences gather in the mobility activities. Project's Impacts: -Participants will meet new foreign language methodologies, -Innovative and modern implementations will be followed, -Participants will develop their especiall oral and communicative abiliites, -Participants will also develop their social abilities -Participants will have chance to their own methodologies.
