The transfer innovation found its origin in a previous project contemplated within the framework of P.O.N. ESF System Action “Intervention for the promotion of continuous learning” Announcement 6/01 by the Minister of Labor and Social Security titled “Creation and spreading of learning patterns for employees of Religious and Socio-Educational Institutions of the Center-North through the use of information and communication technologies.” The project was born within the main aim to improve the quality of the service of both teachers and schools. It was carried out in two years: 2003/2004.The existing project defined a model for continuous learning for teachers and trainers of the schools and vocational centers of a Christian inspiration, centered on the use of online teaching course (OTC) and its training aids. It included blended activities to be carried out in class and online through the use of a Learning Management System (LSM) detected on the open source Moodle platform.The object of the project implementation was to transfer of the theoretical and methodological model of continuous learning created by the existing project to the partners and within an average time span said transfer should be exported also to the territorial and sector nets of the partaking Countries. The model found its applicative expression in the supply of an online teaching course and the related teaching aids.The process of transference of the innovative training content icluded its adaptation to the training systems, culture, linguistic and socio-cultural contexts, needs and requirements of targeted users (updating of the product).The reason for the transfer of the original project’s contents and results can be detected in the following:-in the existence of a broad number of teachers not able to use ICT;-in the scarce technological equipment at school;-in the need to “reconcile” ICT’s private use and their use in teaching environments.The proposed transfer had in fact intended to:-disseminate the contents and the methodologies employed in the original project of transfer;-strengthen the skills in the use of new technologies through the teaching use offered by teachers and trainers.The project Consortium was made by 18 partners: 1 applicant coordinator, Intesa Sanpaolo Formazione, 5 core partners and 12 associated partners.3 associations that represent non-state schools of a Christian inspiration took part in the Consortium: FIDAE for Italy, CES for the United Kingdom, and SGEC for France.In terms of impact, the transfer project involved 10 secondary and vocational schools in Italy, two English and two French schools, for a total of about 160 teachers and trainers, and about 700 students, all interested in the implementation in class of the skills acquired by the trained teachers .
