The Academy of Visionautics, embedded in the non-profit association "Network for Social Innovation" has the aim to encourage citizens to shape future in a self-determined and proactive way. The Academy of Visionautics enables them to develop social innovations and supports the process of their implementation. The main activity of the Academy of Visionautics is conducting workshops for engaged citizens. Those workshops are based on action learning and transformative learning and support development processes of the learners - both in project development as well as in personal development.
These workshops are perceived as very supportive and helpful. It is very important for us to maintain this quality and improve it continuously. This will be done through a regular European exchange with other stakeholders in the field of innovative learning: in learning from others' approaches and continuouslyy reflecting our own approaches with them. In addition to that, appropriate trainings for our trainers and facilitators will allow us to even better accompany our learners in their individual paths, their personal challenges and processes of change.
In addition to the short-term workshop formats we are going to build a two-year project-related training course. We plan to learn via job-shadowing from two best-practice institutions from other EU countries who serve as role models for our development. The integration of their experience and knowledge is a key to a successful and smooth setup.
From of our Grundtvig Learning Partnership "Hosting Transformation" in October 2012, an association of 8 education institutes has emerged, called IPTL (International Partnership for Transformative Learning; www.hostingtransformation.eu). In the last 1½ years the IPTL has grown to 28 member institutions from all over Europe. We will continue to expand this association in membership and effect in future. Its aim is to concentrate the innovative work of individual institutions and to give transformative learning more weight in Europe's educational landscape. For this, it needs exchange, cultivating contact between the institutes and establishing contact to new institutions that will join the IPTL in future. Nodal point of these activities is the Hosting Transformation Conference, which takes place annually in varying countries. It is essential for the Academy of Visionautics to attend at these conferences, not least because we will host the conference ourselves in 2016. We also want to strengthen our relations with individual European institutions to which we provide samples of our innovative educational endeavors.
These important envisioned steps of quality development and internationalization will be made possible by the 50 mobilities to 7 countries granted with Erasmus+. Our thus improved quality and stronger relations between education institutes in Europe will contribute to a growing culture of vivid active citizenship in Europe: In future active citizens that impulse social change with benefits on a regional, national, European or global level will be able to do embark on their courageous journey with an increasingly good support.
