The project included a lot of activities contributing to the achievement of the main aim, which was the protection of air quality in the Lithuanian-Polish borderline region. Achievements: The realization of the project helped to reduce energy consumption in educational institutions. The Partners implemented an energy consumption monitoring system at schools, organised a training course on environmental management system and did the thermal upgrading of selected schools. Moreover, they developed the strategy on the implementation of renewable energy installation at schools, replaced energy inefficient traditional light that is still widely used and introduced energy saving issues into a school curriculum. Another achievement of the project was the establishment of the Polish-Lithuanian Eco-Schools Network. The whole society will benefit from the results of the project due to the decrease in emissions.
