Inclusive Education: An ally for European Identity
Inclusive Education: An ally for European Identity
“Inclusive Education: An ally to european identity” The project is based on the theory and practice of Inclusive education (where all children, despite their abilities and nationality, receive equal opportunities in teaching and learning). We believe that through the certain project all nine partner schools (Cyprus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Italy, Germany, France and Turkey) with 160 willing teachers and 1600 students between 3-14 years old to be involved, we will contribute to the elimination of any possible marginalization and prejudice within and between European schools. Firstly, students cooperate all together despite their abilities and nationality, involving themselves in educational practice without any feelings of prejudice. Students, along with their teachers study and come closer to different cultures, customs and cultural habits that co-exist in E.U. Secondly, through the development of inclusive practices, teachers are getting more qualified to respond to any unfamiliar educational situations, being ready more than before, to teach and reach All students. Our vision and suggestion is that through our Comenius partnership we can find commonalities between partners in culture, history, and nowadays life that lead us to common european identity. For this purpose among others, we study, communicate, collaborate, come closer with project meetings, use media and internet technology, we implement an ongoing and a final evaluation of the procedure, disseminate our work within schools and outside of them, and produce ongoing and final products. Our main final products will be a journal of reflection about participants experiences, recipe book, comic book, E.U languages dictionary and partnership magazine.
