The long term European Voluntary Service project "In the Name of Cognition" will involve one volunteer from Lithuanian for a 6 months period ( from 1 February 2016 until 30 July 2016) in Klina, Kosovo. The volunteer will be Hosted in Youth Center „Ardhmeria“, and will have opportunity to experience the diverse cultures of all communities that live in the town of Klina. Throughout the project non-formal education methods will be applied and used on a daily basis. The volunteer will have opportunity of working in a local team of Host Organization, to implement activities with Young Kosovar people and Youth groups, the role of Volunteer will be to support Youth groups by providing English language course, to increase social, language and learning to learn competencies; initiating discussions and local initiatives on topics like: gender equality, women‘s rights, ecology. Volunteer will also contribute to promotion of European Voluntary Service opportunities in Klina town and Kosovo. Within the overarching general theme of the Project, there are the sub-themes of Youth Education, rural sustainable development, European solidarity, European cultural awareness and mutual understanding. All volunteer sub-activities within the EVS project frame thus are linked to the overarching project theme regarding the future establishment and attraction of Youth Groups to Youth Center "Ardhmeria" and strengthening competencies of Kosovar youngsters in social, language, learning to learn and digital competencies field.
