The HTL Spengergasse wants to make it possible for one teacher, Dr. Susanne Pratscher, to participate in a teacher training assignment abroad for one week. In the course of this week, Dr. Pratscher will have the chance to improve her teaching skills, to become familiar with new teaching ideas and scenarios, to learn more about how to successfully integrate interactive whiteboards, social media and the Internet in general into her lessons. In order to reach these goals, Dr. Pratscher will get the chance to attend a one-week specialized course on these topics in Malta at the Easy School of Language. Later on, from the beginning of the school year 2013/14 Dr. Pratscher will not only be able to apply the new methods studied during the course in her own lessons, but also to disseminate what she learned among other teachers at the HTL Spengergasse. And as the application of new methods aims primarily at students, the young people attending the lessons will be those who most profit from the fact that Dr. Pratscher and her colleagues could enlarge their knowledge of new and up-to-date methodology. As we want to prepare our students in a way which will later make them successful members of the European workforce, the outcome of the participation in such a course should have a long-term impact on the student's future lives.
