Immersion et formation linguistique de l'équipe éducative
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The vocational school La Providence hosts some students who have big learning difficulties and a poor command of language skills. It often constitutes a brake for accessing higher education and providing the basis for greater mobility in the labour market. Consequently, the staff and more specifically the language teachers have to update their teaching methods in order to make students progress and make them more self-confident with languages. The open-mindedness becomes an incentive for our students' improvements and a good command of language skills is one of its main tools. Achieving an immersion course and sharing similar experience and ideas with collegues from other European regions may be an asset in the staff training but also for the students' training. Indeed the staff mobility may be helping motivate our own students to go abroad. The school would like some members of the teaching staff to take part in some immersion courses in foreign countries . During this course the linguistic impact is certain but the impact in terms of personal interactions is far from being secondary. This experience is an opportunity to establish new contacts with teachers from other European countries and enhance the links with our partners in the other European projects (Leonardo, Erasmus).
