The project involves 6 volunteers that will be working at Sezione Laziale UILDM, an organisation settled in Rome, Italy, in the field of promoting the rights and independence of people with disabilities. Two of these volunteers will be active in animating the youth group, in cooperating with the service of European mobility and providing support to people with disabilities, while 4 others (including two youngsters with special needs) will be involved in our summer programme, supporting initiatives for children and youngsters with disabilities in order to foster social cohesion and independent living. The project will count on the participation of volunteers coming from Turkey, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Greece. During the project the volunteers will be encouraged to express their active citizenship and develop a stronger sense of belonging to the European Union.
