Since autumn 2014, the departement Maisons Relais et Crèches of Red Cross Luxembourg is producing a newspaper for children from children. The newspaper "Ich bin Ich - Zeitschrift für Kinder von Kindern" is documenting the non-formal educational process in the childcare centers of Red Cross Luxembourg. The children have participated in the production of the newspaper, they had an active role in defining the content and layout. Each childcare centre has produced 1,5 to 1/2 page with the support of an European Volunteer (EV). Each newspaper had 16 pages and has been published 8 times. Every ediition has been printed +/- 1.500 times. The target group of the newspaper were the children, their parents, the municipalities and the primary school staff. The EV had the key role in the project: in collaboration with the children, the EV collected the content for the newspaper. Every childcare center is defining a"person in charge of media" who was the direct contact person for the EV.
