The main objective of IANUS II is to enhance higher education cooperation between EU and ENPI countries (student and staff mobility). The project aims at promoting intercultural cooperation and to helping to improve students’ career prospects, thus contributing to the improvement of human resources in the countries involved. IANUS II is coordinated by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, Romania, and the Lot 5 joint coordination is ensured by the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukraine. The consortium includes 8 EU partner universities from Austria, France, Germany, Latvia, The Netherlands, Poland and Spain and 11 partner universities from all 6 targeted countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). The 12 associate partners of the project include 6 universities from the targeted countries, the Ministries of Education in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Moldova, AUF and 2 student associations: Erasmus Student Network Romania and Georgia. The duration of the project is of 48 months and the total number of scholarships is 194 (degree-seeking for Lot 5 Master students and non-degree seeking for all study levels and types of mobility). TG1 mobility represents 75%, whereas Lot 5 mobility stands for 89% of the total number of scholarships covered by the project. 26% of the scholarships are undergraduate, 25% are master, 15% doctorate, 14% post-doctorate, while staff mobility is 20%. In order to match student interest, all fields of study are covered by the IANUS II academic offer, since higher education institutions involved are multi-disciplinary, comprehensive universities, with a high-level of research activity and a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes. Joint application, selection and admission is ensured by the online application tool available on the project website and easily accessed by all candidates. All partners provide high level of student services.
