Youth exchange "I want to know other cultures" will be held on 22-31 August in Złocieniec. It will be attended by 24 young people from four countries (Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary) and 4 youth leaders (one from each participating country). The exchange will allow participants to learn about new cultures, religions and traditions, enabling them to tame the fear of what is currently "foreign" and unknown. Young people will play the role of immigrants and refugees, allowing them to mutual learning and understanding of the situation and the circumstances that lead people to leave their own homes and families. The project will develop empathy, contribute to the promotion of intercultural and interreligious dialogue among those who live in a culturally homogeneous societies. Mutual learning and exchange of experience will also help to build among young people attitudes of tolerance and respect for human rights, regardless of country of origin or religion.
