PROJECT

The need of connection between the school and the labor market, the modern economic situation and the needs of the local community have led us to design the program "The improvement of the quality management, Economic Management and the internationalization of education into Hotel and other tourism businesses" under ERASMUS+, which looks forward to the cooperation between EPAL Xylokastrou (Greece) and the "Research & Consultancy Institute LTD" (Cypus).
The main goal is the direct contact of our students with their future working environment and their practice into selected businesses. The 15 participant students of EPAL Xylokastrou of the Department of Economics-Management will acquire additional skills and strengthen their position in the labor market, since the Cyprus -and specific the region Lemessos- offers these possibilities as a tourist destination.
The trainees will be placed in jobs for their employment in the morning, while the afternoon will attend seminars on specific topics, as use of electronic programs for the organization and promotion of tourism enterprises, best practices for communicating with customers, etc.
Through participation in the program we expect the students to develop highly adaptive capacity and flexibility, individual responsibility and skills associated with working functions. During their stay in Cyprus, participants will not act as observers, but they will experience and participate actively in the life and activity in the host country.
The experiences of the participants will be transferred to all the local community (school, municipality, businesses, etc) through events and alerts in the local press and in the media (radio, television) and social media.
