Η καινοτομία στην υπηρεσία των νέων επαγγελματιών στους τομείς του Τουρισμού, των Οχημάτων και της Πληροφορικής

The public 1st Vocational Senior High School of Veria (1st EPAL) is one of the largest schools of its category in our country with 10 different sectors. In this school 553 students attend lessons and 114 teachers teach several subjects. Students live in rural - suburban areas. They have no opportunities to travel abroad, let alone combined with professional orientation. At school they attend theoretical and laboratory courses without however the chance of practical exercise.With this application three students flows (fifteen of the Agricultural sector, fifteen of IT sector, fifteen of Vehicle sector) forty-five total school students will go to Cyprus. Each flow will remain for two weeks and will be accompanied by two teachers of the sector. Let us refer that the Agricultural sector with the same accompanying teachers has implemented two other Erasmus+ programs and another approved, which will be implemented next fall. Results from the previous experiences were extremely, so this year is requested school three flows in the same country, Cyprus, where they need foreign language.Students participatιng the project will be multiple beneficiaries. In the area of Agriculture will acquire knowledge for agritourism and its types and will learn what it can offer in economic, social or cultural level to the owner of a farm. On a practical level will gain skills and experience in the hospitality and catering capacity and ways contacting tourists with the localfood and promoting local products. They will learn to make reservations and sales through Internet.Students of the IT sector will be able to conclude a collective demanding web design project. They will know and will use the technical terminology is concerned, and will use it in the future. They will develop the ability to create functional applications and can improve the capacity selection software and tools, digital or not, they will use. They will enrich their knowledge about the use of available tools and will gain knowledge how to create a site. Through virtual enterprise they will develop capabilities and customer communication.Students of the Engineering sector will improve their ability to work in real workshop conditions and cooperate to deliver a vehicle on time. They will become familiar environment of a workshop using new diagnostic tools and repair damage. They will learn to respect the rules of hygiene and safety in this area. They will gain flexibility in customer service and bringing new ones.Participants will understand the philosophy of lifelong learning as a process that will continue throughout their lives. They will chang their attitude to the future. There will be a raise in their self-esteem and optimism by living in a foreign country.In European Union that we live it is important for young people to develop intercultural culture and ability to work with people from other countries. Feelings and ties with Cyprus will be stronger.Initially the Teachers Association of the school, students, and the Parents Association of and Guardians, were informed and afterwards the host institutions were found, having big experience and reliable programs. After telephonic and electronic communications, the cooperation was confirmed and many issues were settled, such as the "letters of intent" the Europasses and the Certificates of Attendance.Afterwards contracts between institutions wiil be assigned, selection and preparation of students will take place. Finally travel, accommodation, insurance, security, safety, guiding and supporting issues will be settled.All three flows methodology will be the same. Students will attend a series of theoretical seminars for both their subjects and cultural, historical etc. details of the visiting country. Instead there will be practical part too. Agricultural sector will make visits to agritourism houses. The IT sector will do internship in five companies for web design and virtual enterprises and Vehicles sector will do internships in companies, in many tasks related to the operation and maintenance of vehicles.The expected results are the achievement of the abovementioned objectives for the students and the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, skills and experiences.The impact will be positive both for the 45 students and the accompanying teachers. This impact will be positive at local, regional, national and European level, since our school continues and multiplies mobility in European programs. Important will also be the dissemination of results. The most important long-term benefit to students would be finding a job in their specialties and the creation of their own sustainable, efficient and competitive firms.
