In order to improve the education offered by our institution, the planning of educational material, the realization of educational projects and seminars concerning the environment and the sustainable development it is essential to open our educational institution to the European, intercultural reality. The two (2) participating teachers will develop their skills, exchange ideas and develop cross-cultural cooperations within the European community. The main goals of this project are: improvement of intercultural skills, realization of educational projects based on the idea of understanding the difference, improvement of the teachers' language skills, exchange of ideas and experiences about intercultural education and the sustainable development. The two (2) participating teachers will disseminate the European idea and will act as a multiplier among the teaching staff expanding their knowledge and skills. They have already good knowledge of english, french and italian. Through their participation in the training course, they will acquire important knowledge about the organization and realization of intercultural projects and cooperations, they will develop their foreign language skills, especially in english, by participating in multicultural workshops and by exchanging different ideas and practices. In addition, the experience gained by the seminar will motivate the participants to be interested in the intercultural environmental learning by incorporating it in their everyday workflow, like planning educational projects, seminars and other educational activities regarding environment and sustainable development. We expect that participants and all teachers improve their language skills with these Erasmus+ activities and with subsequent Erasmus+ projects and be active participants in European activities. It is certain that the seminar experience will offer them a new direction in their educational workflow as well as to the work of the Environmental Education Centre by adding a European dimension in their activities. The participating teachers will attend a seminar at the city of Porto in Portugal regarding project management for cross-cultural exchange projects in Europe. Before the seminar, the participating teachers will be well prepared in order to maximize the benefits from the seminar. After the training course, they will expand their knowledge to the rest of the teaching staff and will plan and realize intercultural, european projects. The participation in training courses will offer to our educational projects an intercultural ideology essential for the unified Europe of nations. In this way, teachers and adult trainees will be prepared for an enlarged Europe bringing our educational institution to extroversion. The environmental education and education for sustainability knows no frontiers, so it is suitable for an intercultural education full of innovative activities, communication and cooperation in the fields of the European beingness. The teachers and adult trainees should approach the environment in a different, boundless way, because if Greece is our house, Europe is our courtyard.
