I CARE - for MY and therefore YOUR development is a mobility project for VET students in the sector of health and social care. As modern organization we want to start working EU-wide to prepare our students for a European Union that grows together and offers an international labor market. This project aims at transnational experiences to develop three dimensions of competences: social-, self- and professional competences. Especially an improved self-esteem, better language skills and flexibility should be achieved. This will increase the employability of the participants and enhance their innovative capacity and creativity. 105 of our students, from different parts of Germany, have the chance to gain intercultural experiences through a tailor made course in Spain and/ or an internship in Portugal. The course in Spain revolves around interculturality, intercomprehension and social inclusion and is designed as hands-on workshop. For the internships in Portugal, the students will work for one month in their profession in a suitable company. Due to the fact that the most of our students have a broken employment biography and a low income, makes it even more important, to give them the opportunity to have experiences that they can grow on. We emphasize the importance of the project for ours students because they work with people and their personal and professional development is crucial for the development of others. The project will have an impact on everybody involved due to the gain of intercultural competence and therefore more understanding for each other.
