The project „How the Save Our Planet“ will be held between August 18-29 in Tarnobrzeg, Poland. The participants come from Poland (eight-person group seconded by the Tarnobrzeski Dom Kultury), France (seven young artists from the Ligue l'Enseignement des Vosges) as well as from Moldova (seven-person group from the Moldova Young Artists Association „Oberliht“); all are between 20 and 30 years old. They share a common interest in arts, culture, social engagement and an outstanding willingness to protect the environment. The project’s objective is not only to familiarize participants with the negative human impact on the ecosystem, but also to develop solutions for limiting environmental degradation. Numerous journalism and theater workshops, together with photography lessons, will facilitate environmental awareness and promote good practices in everyday life. Apart from gaining additional skills and open-mindedness, the participants will be given a opportunity to self-expression through process-oriented art. Additionally, a certain sense of community in respect to maintaining environmental sustainability should be achieved by bringing together participants form different European countries. Finally, young artists can also strengthen their intercultural competence and language skills.A comprehensive handbook on eco-friendly living will be complied by the participants and eventually distributed among their families and friends.
