The background of the project is the exchange of teaching and learning between the Spanish and the Austrian school and it aims to show how German is taught as a foreign language in Spain, it should provide insight into the process of school management. The main obect is primarily the promotion of international cooperation. The Austrian participant distinguishes herself in many years of teaching activity and an active participation on general school issues. She also has experience in dealing with young people, has three children herself (25, 21,16 years) and she has plenty of experience abroad. An essential aspect of the application is the interest in interculturalism, concerning in particular the teaching of the German language in Spain. An active participation in the teaching of the Spanish host school is planned, if the circumstances permit, and materials will be prepared in advance for this purpose. These will be worksheets, questionnaires, generally tailored learning materials, depending on the level and needs; the Internet can be used too. A jointly planned intercultural project is envisaged, if that fits into the framework. Also appropriate feedback methods can be used. The result should be a mutual exchange, an isight into the conditions on site and a further contact. The pupils of the respective school should have the possibility to establish contact. Either by an exchange or using mail contact. The longterm benefits should be an intensive contact, in which colleagues will be involved; also the scientific sector could be a subject point.
