Project "Homo sportivus" is a next step and follow-up after our preavious youth exchange "Participants - Competitors - Winners”. The international exchange project entitled ”Homo sportivus” will bring together 40 young people aged 16-19 from Poland and Italy. The main theme of the project is sport, international integration and tolerance particularly when it comes to the deaf people. It aims to increase the young people’s awareness about the healthy lifestyle and being physically active. The need to show our society that the youngsters nowadays are not only about sitting in front of the computer screen, eating fast foods and indifference towards others regardless of appearance, background, money, skin colour or health. The project experiences will range from the need of cooperation, role distribution, through healthy rivalry, fair-play rules to physical, social and emotional development. Through the participation in our project young people will learn how to be tolerant. Moreover, we will promote the values of European citizenship and awareness. The methods of greatest use will include: - integrational games and plays – discussions – group work – quizzes and competitions – national evenings. The outcomes of the project are to be a short movie/s, creation of the group on social media (with the participants’ consent) with a view to maintaining the future communication between the participants after the project is finished, starting new friendships, gaining new experiences.
