The main aim of our project is to develop a competitive position of the participants on the labor market. It will be achieved through the realization of indirect objectives, achieved thanks to the internationalization of education at school. One of the indirect goals of the project is to broaden the vocational and linguistic qualifications of participants adjusted to the needs and expectations of the local employers, who cooperate with school, offering the students the placements.
It is worth noting that these aims are coherent with the aims of Erasmus+ program:
- development of key competences and qualifications adjusted to the labor market needs
- getting to know the foreign language and promoting the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe
- broadening the international dimension to training and education
While realizing the project we will apply our own methodology developed while organizing the previous projects, adequate to the principles and to the needs of the project. The documentation will be compiled from the initial stage of the project (drawing up the fundamental principles) until the last one, which includes dissemination process and administrative closure of the project. Each project team member will have the scope of duties clearly specified.
The participants of the project will be the students of second, third and fourth class of technical school in the following specializations: logistics technician and underground mining technician, 40 interns in total.
After the end of recruitment process, wide-ranging preparatory classes are going to start. After its completion participants will go abroad on 3 week internships to Spain. As the project is going to take 2 years, in 2014/2015 two groups of 10 people will take part in the project. One tutor will supervise each of the groups. Identical groups will take part in the internship program in the following year 2015/2016.
After the end of internship program and come back to school, the participants will fill in the reports in the online system and prepare the presentations presenting the results of the project.
The last stage of the project is the final conference. It does not mean, however, that the project ends in this point. Its results will influence on students for a long time at professional and personal level.
The following soft results are planned:
- acquisition of new qualifications and professional experience
- learning new language
- acquiring the ability to use new tools and devices
- acquiring teamwork skills in multicultural environment
- higher opportunities of the participants on the labor market (local, national and European)
- raising the participants’ professional and personal aspirations
- higher motivation to learn
- increasing the level of dutifulness and self-discipline
- getting to know the culture and customs of the receiving country
- developing tolerant attitude and acceptance for different customs and code of conduct
- higher recognition of school
Hard results:
- awarding the Europass Mobility documents
- awarding the certificates confirming the completion of the language course
- awarding the certificates, issued by the receiving institution, confirming the completion of the internship program
- awarding the certificates confirming the participation in the cultural and pedagogical preparation classes prepared by the school
- awarding the certificates confirming the participation in the cultural and pedagogical preparation classes prepared by the school
- completion of the preparatory course, mentioned above contracted for a specified number of hours
- completing the school vocational placement
- completing the Spanish course
The material results are the following:
- collection of photos and films, taken and made by the participant of the project showing their work abroad and other stages of the project
- presentations showing the project – prepared by each group of students separately
- materials compiled thanks to the evaluation process
Thanks to the acquisition of new vocational and linguistic as well as personal competences, the participants will be the valuable candidates for work after finishing school. The institutions where the interns will undertake work are predicted to become competitive on the labor market thanks to knowledge and experience of the young people. This way the interns will support and strengthen their employers’ market position.
The project partner will broaden their knowledge and develop skills, needed while acting at the international level. The school’s representatives and representatives of the partner institution will get to know people brought up in the different culture, which should stimulate their sensitivity for intercultural dialogue issues, customs diversity and diverse code of conduct in the European countries.
