SAO Bona Fides and Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira started cooperation on March 2014. We succesfully applied with 3 projects together on April and October 2014 deadlines in Polish National Agency. Our project "Youth Training in Madeira" ( 2014-2-PL01-KA105-002769) and "History and Culture Training in Madeira" (2014-3-PL01-KA105-013735) has already started and is during realization. The third one also accpted was applied on February 2015. Both engaged organization as well as volunteers are satisfied from the cooperation and realization of the project. We decided to give Polish volunteers the opportunity to go to Funchal also next year.That's why we make a decision to prepare together the project again.
In " History Tellers,walk with real stories "project taking part two partners:Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira from Portugal and Bona Fides Association from Poland.The project will engage 2 volunteers from Poland,whose voluntary service will last 10 months-from 3rd of October 2015 to 2nd of August 2016 in Funchal,in Madeira Island,Portugal.The Student Union of University of Madeira develops annually several projects.The EVS volunteers role is supporting this project for AAUMa considering the differente addresse groups:kids,youngsters,adults and elderly.The projects in which volunteers are encouraged to participate and support are:
-Jesuits College of Funchal Participate AAUMa at the Jesuit College. These activities involve support in daily guided tours to areas of the College,supporting the conservation of the building, interaction with foreign visitors,organization of musical events.
-Complementing the activities in the Jesuits’ College of Funchal,such as guided tours,the AAUMa promotes educational visits for all the schools in Madeira.T
-History Tellers:walk with real stories.The History Tellers project tries to present the Funchal of the past and the presentday city.
-University Sports Support in sports activities.
-Doutorecos support the activities undertaken by AAUMa’s staff.
Project aims to intercultural learning of young people, facilitating joint activities of young people in different cultural enviroment.
The project includes the participation of unemployed young volunteer.
The project includes tasks to support young people in their training process, through intercultural experiences with college students from other countries of the university, as well as collaboration with youth at risk of social exclusion through social activities developed by the Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira, which aims to help young people with learning disabilities in different training centers linked to university and the regional government of Madeira.
In this perspective, volunteers will participate in the daily activities of the association, such as supporting other youth involved in the training of university studies. Besides the volunteer through the support received from the local development agency, will see mobility opportunities offered by European projects for the young unemployed.
