Hip hop and migrations
Start date: Jan 1, 2015, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

To enable young people to express themselves in another way than orally. Showing thiµeir talent and commitment and we want to help young people who whish to speak on a topic through this art. The project also enables young people to meet other people from other cultures and backgrounds. The intercultural dimension is important and will allow young people to open up and learn from others. The dimension of opening anc exchange is important. Communicating a sensitive issue such as migration requests to understand, dialogue and actively listen to others. The project will enable young people to reflect on the subjec t of migration to share and learn. The youth will also need to create something together and for that they will have to listen and agree. They will have to learn to work with other young people that they did not know before the project. The creation of the flashmob and performance are the result of this. The methodology used in this project is peer learning. Young people will learn from each other at different levels and will create together. Because young people have talent and what to say something to the society. Because migration and visa refusal hurt the soul and sometime the body, 32 young people adults from 4 countries (Belgium, Tunisia, Turkey and Hungary) will create together hip hop flashmobs on the theme of migration. These will take place in Turkey. At this occasion, they will engage with people and dialogue about their performance the need to be recognized and the issue of migration. To realize thats they will exchange ideas via the social media before meeting for one week in order to fine-tane the hip-hop choregraphy and learn to live together while from different backgrounds. This should improve understanding and multicultural respect while raising awareness of the croud watching the flashmobs about the need for tolerance and the issue of migrations.
