The internationalization of the school is one of the main objectives proposed by the executive Board of our school for the period 2012-2018. Since then, in school we are promoting mobility both students and teachers, and the participation in other European projects (TOI, Strategic Partnerships, etc.). We are convinced of the benefits that internationalization will report to both beneficiaries of the actions and the insittución itself.
Our school is in a process of educational transformation, we are introducing the Dual Professional Training System of Vocational Education. This circumstance is crucial in this mobility project, as it has the added value of giving us the opportunity of knowing how this model is implemented in countries with long tradition in its application.
The Mobility Project for Higher education students aims to get the participant have an oportunity to do an aprenticeship placement, a real working experience, in some of the Countries where the Dual Vocational Training System has already been fully stablished since long time ago, with that traineshinp mainly based and focused on the actual work in a company, so that we can attain at the same time two different important goals:
a) On the one hand, a significant improvement in the participants' competences and skills in all that applies to the real working environment for his especiality, getting throuhg it an extra ability to be employed, on account of the added experience, knowledge, working techniques, along with other social and communication skills in a foreing common lingua franca like English, what will enable the participant to challege new higher learning and working oportuities. Employability is the most important srategic objective in our institution XABEC.
b) On the other hand, the project allows the participant to complete the due number of working hours requested by the Regional (Valencia, Spain) Educational Authority to recognize as accomplished the needed curriculum last module of Working experience, and thereby bestowing the Qualification as profesional Technician in his especiality.
Since 2002 our school holds the presidency of the European network INNMAIN: Association for Educational Innovation in the Industrial Maintanace. Currently this network consists of 18 partners from 14 countries diferetes. This has been a very good opportunity in the choice of our cooperation partners: we have choosen those that seemed most appropriate to achieve the foregoing purposes.
Denmark is a country with great prestige in vocational training. TEC is the most famous technological VET Center in Copenhagen.
Counting on partners in Germany like HWK -Chamber of Drafts for Koblez area-, allows us to rely the companies´ selection for the placements on the best and better suited hands, that is on those who are precisely in charge of coordinating the Training and Aprenticeship for all the companies included in its area.
