Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Erasmus mobility project 2014 lies on the need of developing the European objectives of our school. The prior ones are the acquisition of academic competences as well as those referred to enterprises and foreign languages. Furthermore, we try to acquire the professional working methods carried out in the firms devoted to the audiovisual field. Our school is looking forward to opening to Europe and making itself known to both, academic and business areas. In previous Erasmus projects, some students of our Vocational traning Degree have taken part in the PAP. They have accomplished the objectives, activities and procedures presumed in traineeships (work placements) implied in the ECHE. In addition, last year there has been another mobility project for eight students in our Intermediate-level vocational training Degree. The precise objective of our Erasmus Project 2014 is the mobility of our teachers and other members of the school community, in order to attend a formative programme. They could have access to the professional profile and working methods of any of the firms visited and, at the same time, to take into consideration their availability as a European destiny for future training activity. Moreover, our own school can be made known all over Europe. For this Erasmus Project only one grant has been given. The only participant is a teacher who has carried out the mobility in a Portuguese firm called ?Carlos Mateo Garcia?. It has been a five-day period during which he has learnt the working procedures of the above named enterprise. Several activities have been planned and carried out in order to make this experience successful, not only before, but also during and after the mobility period. These are the activities developed just before the mobility: 1. Giving precise information to the potential candidates about this project, the conditions of the specific grant and the correct way of applying for it. 2. Selecting the participants through an application form, considering their personal data, professional profile and specific original project. 3. Signing of a contract between candidate and enterprise and establishing an agreement about the mobility. Along the mobility period, all the activities were related to the approach to the firm and its working style: 1. The teacher visited the firm and all its services and facilities. 2. He also learnt how to manage the working tools, machines and other instruments while working on the specific tasks linked to ?digital photography?, which is the subject he usually teaches at school. Besides, he learnt about the working flow of the place, he approached to computerized photograph management, and he faced the relationship with the clients? final task. In addition, working abroad made the teacher able to get immersed in a different culture, to approach a different language, to increase his social competences and to improve his mastering of the latest technology. 3. The project coordinator was daily in contact with the participant teacher, through the electronic mail and phone calls. After the mobility period, it came the time of reporting the result of the project to all members of the school community. 1. Informing and spreading of these results to the whole teaching staff at a meeting and later, to students, parents and other members through the school website and other online platforms. 2. Spreading of the knowledge acquired at the foreign enterprise, through a Department meeting. 3. Stating of a future official cooperation agreement with the firm in order to accept, as trainees, our students. 4. Signing an official certify of having fulfilled all the requirements fixed in the initial agreement stated in the institutional framework. 5. The mobility period experience will be also spread through an annual two-days Conference of Image, organised by our school every february. 6. Moreover, a report supported by significant graphic material, will be released in the school magazine "La Astuta Mirilla", at the end of this course. Eventually, we can say that this project has become extremely positive, not only for the teacher that has enjoyed the mobility but for the rest of the teachers at school, especially for the ones at the Department of Image and Sound. The enterprise was greatly satisfied with the teacher?s work as it was stated with the signature of the agreement about future probable traineeship of our students. Due to this successful project, more and more teachers are interested in this kind of formative activities. In fact, we hope that our expectations towards the Erasmus Project 2015 will be accomplished and the two mobility grants that our school has been offered, can also become efficient and motivating. Our institution could achieve a wider database of available enterprises for students in Spain as well as in the other countries all over Europe. We hope one day our school will become a European reference in the audiovisal field.
