Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Oct 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences focuses on internationalisation with an increased number of student and staff exchange as an important part of this. Through the participation in all four categories of exchange, we also aim at achieving internationalisation at home. With the introduction of Erasmus + came a more strategic approach to both the selection of partners and to the use of staff exchange grants. Many of the participants in the staff exchange are frequent users, but we see that our work to recruit also newcomers have succeeded. There is a pleasant increase in the numbers of STAs and SMSs, Another aim is to get the teaching staff going on staff exchange to recruit students through their lectures when they return home. With the same partner institution being number one among both student and staff, it would appear that we have in some way achieved this. We have also recruited administrative staff for training periods abroad, not only for language courses as was the norm in the LLP Erasmus. Through getting administrative staff from different sections to go on exchange, we are on our way to achieve a more widespread internationalisation among the administrative staff, thus hopefully also contributing to the understanding of preparing and welcoming international staff and students coming here. Through having staff teach and visit partner institutions we are also hoping to raise the quality and prepare better for our students' stay abroad.
