IES Politècnic, that has been in possesion of an Erasmus chart ECHE since 2008, aims to follow the process of internalisation of our institution with the new Erasmus chart. The objectives of the project have been to offer our vocational training students the chance to experience first-hand the workings of a european company, know a different culture and improve their lingüístic skills. The main novelty of this project in comparison with our former projects is that it includes a staff mobility grant for learning that was not available before. In this edition two students of higher vocational training specialties (Electronic Maintenance and Mechanical Manufacturinghave) and a teacher (of Automotive Department) have participated in the program. The two vocational training students have spent three months in an intership in the company ZF Friedchshafen located in Brandenburg (Germany). Besides, a teacher of the automotive department has attended an one-week english course in London. The results of the project have been satisfactory for both the students and our institution. On the one hand, This intership allows the students to validate the required work training module and they have obtained an Europass certificate where the intership has been recorded. On the other hand, the staff mobility will have a possitive impact in the center language policy and its commitment to train teachers and increase the number of them trained to provide teaching in English in non english subjects. All this will improve the quality of education and better training of our future professionals, facilitating mobility and integration of our students in the current European economic environment. Meanwhile, the center has strengthened its ties with the intermediary institution, in our case the Chamber of Commerce of Potsdam and Berlin, with whom we will continue to work in future calls.
