PROJECT
FINISHED
This project was created with the aim of organizing and promoting mobility activities that enable students and staff to continue learning, both theoretical and practical, in other countries of the European community and at the same time facilitate the knowledge of different languages and culture . At the same time, it aims to establish contact with institutions and agencies from other European countries which have the same objectives and allow networking to provide the development of European internationalization strategies beyond national approaches to vocational training.
The most outstanding objectives achieved by the participants of the mobility actions undertaken are: the acquisition of higher skills, personal development and employment opportunities found, increased competition in another European language, awareness and understanding of other cultures, and recognition of skills acquired in another European country. They are also remarkable, synergies and transitions that occur between education, employment and enterprise, as well as the attractiveness and the international dimension of the participating institutions.
The Vocational Traing High School "Mendizabala", has returned to manage this course its own mobility program in Europe. Through the European National Agency "SEPIE ", we have been awarded five scholarships Erasmus + Program. Thanks to them, 5 of our students of 2nd course of Higher Vocational Training could make work placements in countries of the European Community. Also within this program, a professor in the Department of Personnel and corporate image, has made an STT mobility training of 5 days duration in a European country.
The students have been selected according to their academic and linguistic level, and have been funded with a grant that covers part of the minimum cost of travel, accommodation and meals.
Intending to ensure high-quality mobility and that participants be well prepared for it, which includes making sure they have achieved the required level of linguistic competence, all students participating in this project, have benefited from the service online language support (OLS) that the European Commission has implemented.
During the 3 months of stay, from the beginning of March to early June, the 5 students participating in the program this year, have been housed in residences, pensions and shared flats for rent, depending on the country in which they have been doing the practices. Similarly, some of them have had the opportunity to attend a free course of linguistic and cultural adaptation during the stay.
Each participating student has been requested to have all the personal documents in order and to have the European Social Security card. A part of this documentation, all students have a liability insurance and travel insurance, which have been covered by the Basque Government, in order to cope with any contingency by accident or disease that may arise in the country of destiny.
All company practices carried out in European countries, as validated by the subject called "On the Job Training" FCT and all participating students have obtained the qualification of APT in that subject.
