Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

EASD Mestre Mateo from Santiago de Compostela has among its annual objectives the implementation of provisions in order to facilitate International mobility to our students, both for studies and traineeships. To achieve this goal, we have obtained ECHE and we try to increase the number of students doing mobilities to Europe every year. We’ve been organizing mobilities from this International Office for 5 years, along which we have increased the number of partners as well as the number of mobilities. During the 2014-2015 school year, which is the one at hand in this Final Report, we made 8 mobilities for studies (SMS) and 6 for traineeships (SMT). Our College has aproximately 400 students, distributed among two Higher Education Studies of Design (Fashion and Product) and 4 Vocational Studies (also higher education artistic studies, of Artistic Jewellery, Sculpture, Ephemeral Architecture and Photography), therefore we consider that the percentage of students making mobilities is satisfactory (although our goal is to keep on increasing it). Because of the peculiar structure of our College and the type of studies taught in it, we only offer mobilites for studies to our Design students. Vocational studies have a duration of 2 years, and we think that’s not enough time to be able to do mobilities and receive at the same time all the contents required by our study program. For this reason, we only offer traineeship mobilities to our Vocational students. Our Design students can do both SMS and SMT. For this reason it is our intention to increase the total number of traineeship mobilities, by stimulating the curiosity of our students for this alternative, promoting the study of languages and advertising the grants.
