The Erasmus+ KA103 project was one of the elements of implementation of Lublin University of Technology’s strategy for internationalization of education. All the available types of mobilities were carried out, that is: students’ mobilities for studies and placement (outgoing and incoming), teachers’ mobilities for teaching (outgoing and incoming), as well as administrative staff mobilities for training (outgoing and incoming). The aim of the Unversity was to realize international mobilities in accordance with the European Erasmus Charter for Higher Education LUT’s International Exchange Office, group of faculty coordinators and the University coordinator for Erasmus+ programme took care of the quality and management of the project with reference to the mobility participants. Representatives of all groups of LUT’s academic community took part in the project: students, academic teachers and administrative staff. Pursuant to the European Erasmus Charter for Higher Education Lublin University of Technology did not discriminate against any mobility candidates on grounds of their nationality, sex or age. The University followed the principles of equal access to information and equal treatment of all candidates during the whole recruitment process. The participation of women and men in the project corresponded to the proportions of those groups at the University – the number of men exceeded the number of women. Under the Erasmus+ KA103 project, 54 outgoing mobilities for studies and 115 outgoing mobilities for placement were realized. Lublin University of Technology received 278 incoming students for studies and 7 incoming students for placements. 81 academic teachers realized mobilities for teaching and 46 administrative staff realized mobilities for training. The majority of staff members received financing for their mobilities. LUT received 31 academic teachers from partner universities who conducted classes for students of LUT. 14 administrative staff visited LUT for their training mobilities within the Erasmus+ programme. The enhancement of educational offer through giving the opportunity to LUT’s students to carry out part of their studies abroad and to undergo training in foreign institutions contributed to the University’s internationalization growth, which is one of the aspects of the Development Strategy of Lublin University of Technology. It is worth highlighting that activities aiming at the project results dissemination were carried out during numerous events organized by IEO of LUT and ESN LUT, as well as during presentations for partner universities. The participation in the project allowed students and University staff to better their professional abilities and competences. At the same time, the project allowed all the mobility participants to improve their language skills, especially English skills, which translated into the quality of teaching and high level of education received by the students of LUT. In view of multiple international contacts and intensive international cooperation the University becomes a more important partner for the authorities in the Lublin region in numerous actions in business and educational initiatives. The students and staff exchange within Erasmus+ programme contributes to enhancement of LUT’s possibilities in the scope of recruiting foreign students, including paid studies in Polish and foreign languages.
