Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: May 30, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
We developed Erasmus projects in the program LLP and we go on in Eramus + we similar aims. We want that our students participate in Erasmus + Project with SMP mobility, developing the FCT module in European companies. The principal aim is to improve their labor insertion increasing their capacities, skills in other languages, their personal and professional maturity, to get skills with experiences in environments very different from theirs (living in an European capital city and working abroad with different productive systems and regulations, …), to improve their spirit of tolerance and conviviality, his knowledge of other cultures and European citizenship and spirit.
We offer the scholarships to the students of CFGS " Administration and finance ", SMP Erasmus + experiences to develop the FCT module in a company in Lisbon - Portugal. The selection has been carried out without discrimination, with equality opportunities for all students across a transparent , fair and not discriminatory process based on objective criteria (academic curriculum, knowledge in foreign languages, maturity, other knowledge and experiences). The students with scholarship must be in conditions to develop the module FCT in the third quarter of the course (March – June) or in the next period (September - December of the following course).
The SMP Erasmus + experience is recognized as FCT module by our educational authorities. Also the Europass of this mobility is processed and the European company certifies the mobility (certificate of company).
The initial aims of this project were four SMP mobilities because of the interest among the students of CFGS Administration and finance in the european projects. Actually, only two students got Erasmus + scholarships. The selected students had to delay their FCT module to the extraordinary period because they had to resit one of the modules of the cycle. Finally there was one mobility only for the period from September to December 2015, because one granted student renounced due to personal reasons. It allowed extending the period of the other mobility from two to three months.
We made agreements with the company in Lisbon which had collaborated in other Erasmus projects. After several informative meetings, finally we interviewed the selected students and they were informed about the mobility and the company. They were interviewed by the company in Alhama de Murcia (Spain) and they made contact with the manager in Lisbon to organize their accommodation in Lisbon. We organized a Portuguese course for the students before beginning the mobility in a local academy. The trip was organized by a local travel agency and an insurance for the mobility was contracted. The sanitary documentation was processed. The company had an working insurance for students in practices. During the mobility, the student did cultural visits. We carried out a follow-up of the practices in company and the mobility by telephone and e-mails. The diffusion of the European experience has been realized in the educational community (local newspaper, Web, European board...).
The results are very good. The European company where the student developed the SMP mobility offered a job to her , but she rejected it because she obtained a job in her natal city, Totana. Her European experience increased her opportunities to find job and improved her curriculum vitae. There have also been reached the rest of the aims of the project: tolerance, knowledge of other languages, personal and professional experiences...
We will try to continue working in these projects with students and the rest of members of the educational community in the future.
