The ERASMUS Consortium AL SUD-Connecting regions, Creating worlds comprises the following institutions: University of Lisbon, University of Évora, University of Algarve, Polytechnic Institute of Beja and Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. With a regional dimension, it brings together higher education institutions of regions like Lisbon, Setúbal, Alentejo and Algarve, aiming his recognition at a European level. Its mission is the promotion of a strong, lasting and fruitful connection between University and Polytechnic higher education and the relations between national higher education institutions national and the European’s one, and also, between these and the network of national companies. As it was provided in the initial application, the Consortium aims to provide professional internships Erasmus to the Consortium Institutions Students, in the national’s institutions and in the countries participating in the programme institutions, contributing to the practical application of the knowledge obtained in Institutions of Higher Education, and for the development of the student’s individual skills, boosting their employability. On the other hand, the connection of this consortium with the institutions and companies involved in of the region, aims to provide professional internships, in Portugal, to the European higher education students, promoting the internationalization of Portuguese companies and organizations. It also aims to strength the implementation of the Diploma Supplement.
