Higher education student and staff mobility projec..
Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: May 30, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project includes mobilities for three students and one teacher belonging to Technical Degree in Catering Management. The students did their work placements in London (1 student) and Prague (2 students), both of them in hotels and they completed the whole compulsory period of work placements. The teacher did 4 days job shadowing in Prague in the same company as the students.
All the mobilities produced positive results. The students had their work placements certificates and the student who was in London is still there at present working for the company he was doing his work placement in.
The objectives described in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education as well as those written in the Mobility agreement were successfully achieved. There was an important improvement on the quality of our vocational studies as well as social and labor competence of our students and staff.
In the working plan, we can see all the activities the students and the teacher performed. The teacher also checked the company working methods and made arrangements in order to send new students in coming projects.
There was a wide dissemination of the general development of the project and its results through different kind of media et alia.
There was also a general positive impact: the teacher and the students who took part in the mobility program improved their professional and personal skills and all of them showed their satisfaction with their experience. The motivation among those who wish to take part in coming project was outstanding, too. The collaboration between our school and the companies that received our students and teacher were reinforced and all the parts agreed on future mobilities together. A well-qualified workforce was created and this allowed us to make an interchange of ideas and an improvement in management and finance skills.
At present, we are working in new projects taking this one as a model in order to improve the quality of them.
