Higher education student and staff mobility project

The international dimension is registered since 2008 in projects of the Institute of Nursing in Vannes. In 2014, the European orientation was reinforced by obtaining the Erasmus Programme Charter. The founding objectives of this project were: - For students: The development of soft skills such as adaptability, self-confidence, the ability to make decisions but also as professional reflexivity. The set provides a better insertion in the labor market and better quality of care to the patient. - For trainers and all staff through the acquisition of knowledge and know-how from experiences abroad, strengthening the cooperation between our training institute and our European partner institutions. - For the Training Institute: development and promotion of the project both internally and externally leading to improved attractiveness of our institute, and an impact on recruitment with the focus on the European opening, the 'intercultural and language skills. The 2014-2016 agreement has funded the departures of 15 nursing students but also of two trainers. Thus, 7 students went on probation in Wales, one in England, 5 in Belgium and two in Luxembourg. Two trainers have benefited from mobility in Belgium as part of training in simulated nursing practice. Students are supported in their mobility projects by the head of international relations. Projects are argued before internship commission comprising the management of the training institute as well as trainers, in order to demonstrate commitment, compliance preparation and monitoring of the project according to the criteria of the institute and enrollment in the nursing field. Linguistic preparation is organized upstream departures for students and trainers in English classes: the exchanges are centered on the stay, to acquire specific professional terms. Also the translation of educational materials facilitates the understanding of portfolio assessment criteria, monitoring document in training for tutors host courses. Self-assessment of language level is provided with the proposed tool in the Europass. The student is also encouraged to work on software, to take intensive courses and attend conferences / meetings in English at the IFSI. The head of international relations division developing learning agreements / tripartite training agreement during the meetings or contacts by e mail / Skype with partners to ensure individualized support, quality of living and ensuring compatibility obtaining ECTS. In return each mobility, sharing of experience is organized with other learners, trainers or the public as part of an international forum. During the latter lectures are given by students in both French and English. The Training Institute also hosted an incoming mobility of a partner institution. His reception was organized on the basis of a peer mentoring to facilitate integration. Monitoring by a trainer from the IFSI and a tutor on the golf course has ensured a warm welcome, a personalized assessment of acquisitions and a student's skills. Note that a training course was also offered to the student in order to optimize the achievement of its objectives internship. After this agreement we see a real mobilization has been created around this project, the number of students has increased departures throughout both years (3 to more than 10) Our institutional dynamics meets the needs of students who are organizing and investing in their bodies, both local, national and European. Thus, two students are engaged in organizations such as the National Federation of Nursing Students (one president and the other responsible for international affairs), they also participate in various conferences organized by FINE (european federation of nurse educators) . The European openness promotes the skills approach, the search for quality of care, risk management, this to the benefit of the population. The IFSI is engaged in the quality approach with the repository : HCERES.
