During the academic year 2014-2015, this Erasmus+ mobility project for higher education students and staff with programme countries at Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) sent a total of 167 exchange students and trainees and 103 exchange teachers and staff members to its partner institutions.
In terms of internationalisation of students and staff, mobility is one of the most important activities at TUAS.
Participation in Erasmus+ mobility develops the professional, social and intercultural skills and competences of students and thus, strengthens their readiness to work in an international environment. Teacher and staff exchanges, on the other hand, are seen as an important part of international activities at TUAS, because they provide possibilities to meet colleagues and to exchange best practices and deepen cooperation with European partner institutions.
Erasmus+ mobility projects thus support the strategic plan 2015-2025 of TUAS which emphasizes the production and use of international-level top competence in professional activities and the development of all our students, partners and members of staff into champions in their own field in the global operating environment of the future.
