CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT. Arucas-Domingo Rivero High School is located in a local area that can be qualified as "zone in the North" of the capital of Gran Canaria. Economic activity focuses mainly on the sector services, counting, Bank offices, catering establishments and companies engaged in commercial activities (wholesalers and retailers). These activities are complemented by agriculture. IES Arucas-Domingo Rivero is a public centre under the Department of Education and Universities of the autonomous government of Canary Islands where formal education is given, among other, studies of vocational training, in particular the formative cycle of higher degree of administration and finance and the upper cycle of management of sales and commercial spaces. The Educational Project of the school expresses willingness to incorporate initiatives aimed to improve educational quality. In this framework , the educational community center is committed to upholding the tradition of own identity , and its location in a complex and changing cultural reality.It is in this context that comes its total sense participation in this project, especially if you consider that the first 'industry' in the region is tourism. Before receiving the ECHE 2014-2020, our school had not participated in European programmes.The country where our students have done their internship is United Kingdom. OBJECTIVES - To help students adapt to the labor market requirements at EU level - The students acquire specific skills and improve their understanding of the economic and social development of the country concerned, while they are getting work experience. - The students improve their language skills in the mother tongue of the country where they carry out the practices. - Improve the quality and increase the volume of mobility of students and teachers in Europe. - Improve the quality and increase the volume of multilateral cooperation among higher education institutions in Europe. - Facilitate the development of innovative practices in education and training to support the development of content, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong innovative ICT-based. NUMBER AND PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS. Three students and a teacher have participated in the mobility programme. The academic origin of students is the Associate Degree in Administration and finance, newly qualified, with a degree of high personal maturity as well as academic ability. The participating teacher belongs to academic speciality of Training and Labour Advisory and he is the Coordinator of the project. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES. 1.-Briefing on presentation of the Erasmus section from the website of the Centre to each group of students. 2. Inform to the educational community through the Erasmus section the website of the school. 3. Selection of students by the Evaluation Commission and publication the record resolution on the High School website and bulletin boards. 4. Application mobility numbers of teachers and students. 5.-Treatment and submission of all official documents required. 6. Contact with several companies and agree with participants choosing the host company . Facilitate contacts on appropriate accommodations to students . 7. Filling all documentation both internal (e.g. the grant agreement with participants ) and externally. 8. Drawing up the intermediate report (SEPIE). 9. Attending meetings convened by the autonomous community and the SEPIE. 10. Monitoring students during the months of internship. 11. Drawing up the final report to the SEPIE. IMPACTS AND RESULTS OBTAINED . BENEFITS . We can highlight the following results and impact: 1. The students’ improvements in: analytical skills, problem-solving, use of IT, team work and social skills. 2. Encourage students to participate in training and labour orientation courses in order to know more deeply a labour market that transcends beyond the local and the national ones. 3. Promote the participation of the educational community in our school in other European projects. This year, an eTwinning project has been approved . 4. Encourage the involvement of the teachers who monitor the FCT in the realization of the project. 5. Promote collaboration with the English department. 6. A commission of working and monitoring the Erasmus program composed by the leadership team, the foreign languages department , tutors of FCT and Erasmus coordinator. 7. Erasmus + integration project as a quality element in the center. 8. The exchange of experiences between the host company and our institution.. 9. The dissemination and promotion of the project in the educational community. 10. The period of staff mobility had impact on the institution : contribute to the internationalization of my institution. It will contribute to the introduction of changes in the organization/management . It will help us have a new and greater cooperation with the host company.
