The General Jonas ?emaitis Military academy of Lithuania (MAL) is state budget funded higher education institution. Aim of the Academy ? to train commanders-leaders for the Lithuanian Armed Forces by cherishing their traditions, providing high-quality university education, military education and performing scientific researches. The strategic aims of the The General Jonas ?emaitis Military academy of Lithuania (MAL) are: 1. To train professional officers who are determined to serve Lithuania thus strengthening Lithuanian national security; to prepare officers for the Lithuanian Armed Forces and the institutions engaged in ensuring national security. 2. To seek for the ideal combination of university studies, military training and leadership development allowing to prepare patriotic and creative commanders who have open mindset, take on challenges and bear responsibility. 3. To participate actively in public education by seeking to increase the awareness of national security and citizenship. Participation in the Erasmus+ mobility project fully compatible with above mentioned strategic aims. The General Jonas ?emaitis military academy of Lithuania during the implementation of the Erasmus+ mobility project achieved considerable increase of the total number of the mobilities compared with the previous years projects: 19 bachelor level cadets participated in the mobility for studies activities (2-4th study years); 2 doctoral level students participated in the mobility for traineeship activities (in the partner academic institutions); 4 staff members were sent for the different training activities (Summer school about the terrorism and nationalism, Workshop in the field of applied physics, 2 training activities related to the Military education in the EU and student/staff exchange of the military education institutions); 2 academic staff members participated in the mobility for the teaching visits at the partner institutions (1. course of the lectures on the equipment used in the Ukrainian conflict; 2. Military english lectures course).
