Since 2014, the heCh has been enhancing student mobility thanks to a newly shaped IRO as followed: an institutional coordinator and four departmental coordinators who, in close collaboration, seek BAs that match the various degree courses offered at the heCh and hold information sessions for students on all campuses.
Our institution emphasizes on pedagogical and administrative follow-up of recipients all the way through their mobility (application to return from mobility).
The main goal is to allow a majority of students to have access to mobility experience during their cursus.
Sixty students benefitted from a grant either for academic or placement mobility and among the agronomic, economics and education departments. The favourite destinations are Spain, France and Italy.
All students got full academic recognition.
Upon request, linguistic support was offered in addition to OLS.
A leaflet for professors and administrative staff has been edited to promote staff mobility but the outcome is rather poor.
Incoming mobility is also enhanced through partners’ visits and promotion material sending.
Incoming students are invited to take part in the freshman week, i.e., intensive French class, cultural activities and visits at the beginning of each semester.
Swift communication via e-mail or phone with our Erasmus counterparts allows optimal management both IN and OUT mobility.
