Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: Sep 30, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
The Erasmus project 2014 is a continuation of our previous programme for continuous formation. This project constitutes one of the main objectives within our ?Programación General Annual?. As we aim to make our learning institution as ?international? as possible.
Through this project, our College would like to encourage and support all the activities which involve the development of multicultural exchanges as well as the acquisition of both personal and professional skills which will mainly be implemented through the students who are spending their internships in different companies in the E.U.
The teachers and other members of staff also have the possibility of visiting and training in another country.
Thus, the members of the educational community who took part in the Project can improve and acquire new skills and competences that will help them in both their professional and personal development as they will be gaining knowledge about the other European countries, their people, their culture and their working methods and regulations. This knowledge will help everybody understand a common Europe we all belong to.
Nine students and two teachers participated in the 2014 Programme, the nine students belonging to all the different Vocational Studies our College offers: Business Administration and Finance, Secretarial Vocational Studies, Beauty and Hairdressing, Graphic Arts and Video and Prohography.
Eight of the nine students who participated in the programme decided that they would take the subject of Training in the Workplace (Formación en Centros de trabajo) during the ordinary academic period, whereas the other decided to do it after getting their Diploma.
All the students received support on-line by their tutors and by the Erasmus Coordinator, who also visited the different workplaces where the students were spending their internship.
The teachers who took part in the Project chose the ?Job shadowing modality?.
The afore said internship enables students to pass the subject ?Training in the Workplace (Formación en Centros de Trabajo), whithout which students cannot get their Diploma.
In addition to their Diploma the students acquire an experience that will help them enter a very competitive job market.
Regarding the teachers, they have gained knowledge about how work is done in both European Companies and European High Schools for Vocational Studies and Further Education. Such knowledge will certainly enable them to improve their teaching methods and improve their relationship with the different companies with which we have established a collaboration agreement for students? internships.
Once the Erasmus Project 2014 is over, we firmly believe that this experience will have a very positive impact in the whole educational institution. In order to achieve that goal, the students will share their experience with their schoolmates through different lectures and exchanges. This will help this ?European spirit? to be spread among the students who have not participated in any European Project so that our College will be able to enlarge its international dimension.
The teachers who participated in the Project will also be able to help making our future Erasmus Project successful by contributing to the Project with their past experience.
