CONTEXT / BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT: The European University of Rome is a private Catholic University, legally recognized as part of a large network of universities (Red Anáhuac), belonging to the congregation of the Legionaries of Christ and spread in Europe and in the Americas. Opportunities for international mobility are part of the educational project of the University and are encouraged as much as possible.
OBJECTIVES: To increase the number of students and teachers involved in mobility activities, with particular attention to the number of scholarships dedicated to mobility for study.
NUMBER AND TYPE / PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS: (a.y. 2014/2015)
14 international mobilities, including 13 involved in the Erasmus +. Among them: 3 students from the three-year Bachelor of Economics and Management, heading toward Spain; 10 students from the undergraduate program in Psychological Sciences and Technology heading toward France, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Mexico; 1 student from the Master's degree in Psychology directed in France.
Further: 2 professors involved in mobility for teaching (both directed by Economics and Psychology in Spain); 4 members of the academic staff involved in mobility for learning (all directed in Spain). During the project we welcomed: 19 students in mobility for study, among them 17 under Erasmus+ (hosted by the Faculties of Economics, Law, Psychology and History); 13 mobility for teaching (from Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain) and 1 staff mobility for learning (from Croatia).
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES: organization and implementation of international cooperation projects (EU and non-EU) in the framework of the Erasmus +.
- We promote the study of foreign languages;
- We offer courses taught in English;
- we promote a program offered entirely in English
- We express great availability to accept incoming mobility of teachers;
- We conclude agreements and memorandum of understanding with European universities and others, to fund mobility
- We are part of an international network (Red Anáhuac) made by universities in Europe and in Central and South America and experience . We promote the internationalization of the academic offer within our network.
- Constantly we support students and teachers interested in mobility, organizing several meetings and training activities;
- We guarantee an optimal ratio between the number of incoming students and teachers;
RESULTS AND EXPECTED IMPACT:
- General increase experiences of international education
- Internationalization of University educational offer and degree programs.
