Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

International openness has been one of the key priorities of our school’s educational project for over fifteen years. Our objectives are to give a first professional experience to our students registered on a two-year post-baccalaureate course (BTS – Higher National Diploma), requiring linguistic skills, more specifically to those enrolled on the BTS “Executive Assistant” and BTS “Hotel and Catering Industry” targeted courses, and also, to prepare for professional insertion, encouraging our learners to be mobile, even helping lift constraints linked to a job requesting expatriation. In 2014, ten students in their first year of the BTS “Executive Assistant” applied for the ERASMUS+ / Student mobility for Placement. The achieved tasks primarily consisted in assisting a manager or a team in a firm. The missions mainly focused on communication, information, commercial cold calling, administrative management and customers’ attendance. On their return, we observed our participants had clearly benefited from their internships at personal and professional levels (work experiences, a capacity to adapt, a meaningful gain in independence, initiative-taking, maturity, an improvement in their linguistic and intercultural skills). They gave feedback of their experiences to the new incoming students. The testimonies of Erasmus students promote the desire to be part of such an experience, even though some still hesitate to go for it.
