The Erasmus + program enabled the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne to achieve several objectives of its international strategy.
By supporting outgoing student mobility, it enabled to strengthen the intra-European mobility while facing an increasing number of outgoing student mobility outside Europe. In 2015,URCA reaches a balance between incoming and outgoing mobility which is a positive factor to negotiate and to implement new institutional partnerships.
By supporting teaching staff mobility, the program contributed to the internationalization of our curriculum and to create international degree programmes.
In addition to internal calls financed by the budget of URCA, it has certainly contributed to increase the number of international training and research projects.
With the support of the Erasmus + program, especially through the mobility of our teachers eager to practice more English and to adapt their courses in English, the URCA plans to include units in English to its key courses in the future.
The programme Erasmus+ helped to get an overview over all URCA's partnerships and to reinforce the actif agreements and to modify eventually agreements less actif.
The Erasmus + program has helped to increase the visibility of the international strategy of URCA, and to communicate on the new aspects of the Erasmus Programme. In spite of some difficulties in the communication at the beginning, the University faculty and staff got growing interest in the programme, resulting in a increasing number of candidatures and projects. Furthermore, the local and territorial communities (township - Region) got interested in the programme Erasmus+, by getting closer to the University. It will need certainly some time to develop some strategic grogramme between the local and territorial communities and the University which will take some time to get implemented. The programme Erasmus+ contributed to enhance the visibility of the International dimension of URCA by creating a strong community of international students within the institution, reinforced by cultural and community events
This increased visibility will certainly make even more our students want to experience a mobility abroad and therefore increase the outgoing mobility.
