The mobility project is financed through Erasmus+ 2014, Key Action 1 and represents an important element in the modernization of the Romanian-American University, influencing in a fundamental manner the way the institutional objectives are met, mainly regarding internationalization.
The project was implemented in Bucharest, at the location of the beneficiary and its main objectives were: modernization and institutional development based on international cooperation through mobility for both students and staff representatives; providing international experiences for students, based on fundamental principles such as equal opportunities and recognition of the results acquired during the mobility; benefiting of a favorable number of mobilities for the academic and administrative representatives with the purpose of improving the quality of education and research; ensuring the quality of mobilities by following the ECHE principles; encouraging the Incoming mobilities in order to create a truly international educational environment.
The project took place on a period of 16 months, between the 1st of June 2014 and 30th of September 2015. This project gathered 44 partners from abroad, including 24 universities and 20 companies or other receiving institutions.
118 persons participated at specific activities during this project: student mobilities for studies SMS OUTGOING ? 12 participants, student mobilities for placements SMP OUTGOING ? 14, staff mobilities for training STT OUTGOING ? 43, staff mobilities for teaching assignments ? 15, student mobilities for studies SMS INCOMING ? 28 participants, staff mobilities INCOMING ? 6 participants.
The project methodology was based on specific working procedures designed for international mobilities, with the purpose of ensuring optimal conditions for the correct ongoing of the project and keeping a high level of satisfaction for the participants.
It is important to mention that the ECHE principles have been followed, regarding the assistance and the preparation of the participants for the mobilities, managing and tracking the mobilities during their ongoing, analyzing and interpreting the results obtained and the individual results can confirm this aspect.
The results of the project correspond to the target group and their activities and meet the objectives initially established. These objectives were focused, among others, on the personal and professional development of the students, their adaptation to a dynamic and multicultural environment and their interacting with different methods and working practices, in order to better prepare youth entering the labor market.
Regarding the mobilities for staff, the individual results were represented by the personal and professional development of the participants, the encouragement of international interactions and partnerships, the improvement of teaching skills according to the new existing trends, building a strong connection with the business environment and diversifying the curriculum.
In the same time, it can be mentioned that the results of the project were found also at an institutional level, creating the optimal conditions for further participation to international projects and events.
