Higher education student and staff mobility project

In the academic year 2014/2015 University of Rzeszow realized the project "Learning mobility" (No. 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000047), which perfectly tied in with the assumptions internationalization of the University, steady increase in the number of participants and raising awareness of mobility of students and academic staff from the scope of the benefits of expanding international cooperation. The project involved 383 participants - 115 students and 91 employees of UR went abroad, while UR has hosted 177 people from partner universities. In the frame of this project the following activities were conducted: student mobility for studies at partner universities (79 persons), student mobility for internships at partner universities or other institutions (36 people), academic staff mobility to partner universities to carry out min. 8 hours of classes (64 people) and other staff mobility to partner universities or other institutions for training (27 people). For the same purposes the University of Rzeszów received students and staff of partner universities. Students of undergraduate and graduate studies (79 people) who went to partner universities for one semester or the whole academic year represented the following fields of study - archeology, biology, economics, English, German and Russian Philology, graphics, computer science, cultural studies, math, preschool education, law, emergency medical services, food technology and human nutrition, tourism and recreation, physical education. 36 students who went for practice were studying biotechnology, dietetics, economics, Polish philology, pedagogy, law, tourism and recreation, physical education. University of Rzeszow received, both for studies (125 people) and for internship (8 persons), students of biology, biotechnology, economics, English and Polish Philology, physiotherapy, history, computer science, mathematics, education, nursing, political science, midwifery, law, medical emergency, sociology, arts, tourism and recreation, physical education, public health. They came to UR from Bulgaria, Finland, Spain, Germany, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey and Italy. Staff of our University going abroad and staff of partner universities coming to our university represented the following disciplines od science: archeology, biology, biotechnology, economics, philosophy, physiotherapy, linguistics, mathematics, music, nursing, midwifery, political science, law, medical emergency, agriculture , sociology, physical education. The University of Rzeszów hosted the Czechs, Finn, Spaniards, a Lithuanian, Germans, Slovaks, Romanians, Turks, Hungarians, Italians. The project on the one hand expanded the knowledge of students and staff from abroad about Poland, on the other hand, students and researchers of UR got to know working conditions at partner universities. Students got to know the language, culture and customs of EU countries. They have become more open and confident. The most important benefit of students student mobility is increasing their competencies, acquiring practical skills necessary for their future careers and increasing their chances on the labor market. During the visit of the academic teachers at the partner Universities, in addition to conducting classes with students, they could talk to them about education in their country, the conditions of study, curriculum, and about scholarships. It was also important to know how to prepare undergraduate and graduate thesis and get to know the electronic system, which is used for their presentation, anti-plagiarism control, evaluation, publish reviews, etc. These experiences are important in the context of changes in the University of Rzeszów and can be used in work with students. Thanks to these mobility possibilities there are new opportunities for academics in the field of teaching, international cooperation and research activities. Academics after returning from a partner university, among the advantages of the visit, always indicate the possibility of working together on scientific publications, the opportunity to demonstrate the scientific achievements and significant impact on their further work on their doctorate or habilitation. The main result of the visit was also to establish a solid cooperation at the university and exchange of experiences in terms of language methodical. For example, the students at the partner universities with a lot of curiosity answered the subjects of activities for them unknown, which was presented to them. The result of the visit was to acquire new experiences related to the teaching process, developing their own skills and better use their scientific and educational potential. In addition, a correlation of curricula in the field of study - Materials Engineering (UR) was done with the field of study at the host University in order to extend cooperation towards conducting joint studies.
