Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

As part of its strategic drive towards modernisation and formalised recognition for the existing internationalization of the school, the Ecole de Savignac has decided to apply for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. The school has had a ten year-long history of international academic partnerships and work placement experience. It was therefore necessary for us to obtain official recognition of this work. Alongside this objective is another major goal of encouraging and facilitating the mobility of students as work placements represent an essential part of our programmes at Ecole de Savignac. The Erasmus + Traineeship agreement is aimed at our MBA students, whose diploma is recognized by the French State as a Level I diploma and registered at the RNCP. We have around 50 MBA students each year, who all have a six-month compulsory internship to do in-between their first and second year. These students are meant to become the leaders of the Hospitality industry. It is therefore very important for them to be in tune with the ever-evolving demands of professionals, and also to discover different modes of management, working abroad. Thanks to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, we have been able to offer to these MBA students the possibility to do their internship in Europe, and hence to have good opportunities for their internships and their careers. Right from this first Erasmus + year, some of our students have shown their interest in the Erasmus + programme. In the long term, we wish to encourage, as much as possible, our students to live this more than enriching experience, in order to allow them to understand the mechanism of cross-cultural management, which is ever-present in the Hospitality industry, thanks to internships and semesters abroad.
