Higher education student and staff mobility project

The aim of the 2014-1-ES01-KA103-001162 project is to design, develop and implement the framework that will enable ULL students and staff to internationalize upon mobility in a European institution. Among the internationalization objectives intended and achieved with this project have consisted in 154 SMS (Student Mobility for Studies) and 6 SMT (Student Mobility for Traineeships). In the case of the University of La Laguna staff, mobility has been divided into 10 STT (Staff Mobility for Training) and 6 STA (Staff Mobility for Teaching). Each of the activities and actions developed during this Erasmus+ project have been designed, convened, approved and disseminated based on the above mentoned types of mobility. The objective to promote European mobility among students and staff of the ULL seeks to improve their skills and knowledge by offering a cross international training, impact the future employability of graduates through the internationalization of their curricula and improve international relations academia generating European networks that positively affect the internationalization of research and teaching institution. Every student participant has obtained the academic recognition of the records/credits taken and surpassed in the European host institution and has also been able to meet other educational systems, other teaching methods, other European cultures and values ​​and improve their language skills. Students who have enjoyed a Student Mobility for Traineeships have gained international experience to enhance their employability and job prospects as well as the experience of knowing the business world outside Spain and the Canary Islands. In the case of staff mobility, the University of La Laguna has promoted actions to improve relations with European universities. Our staff has learned about the operation of other universities and their academic offer and structure and all this, with the aim of improving the ULL management of mobility in the future. Staff Mobility for Teaching has allowed the ULL staff to incorporate international experience to their CV as well as to establish relationships that will impact the future research results and teaching in the ULL acdademic programs. The Staff Mobility for Training aims to improve knowledge that our staff in the Canary Islands, outermost region of Europe, has on other teaching systems used in European centers of excellence and to improve the expertise of professors in their working areas.
