The goal of the project is to enhance the quality of life by creating alternative revenue opportunities, encourage employment through the development of a cross-border agricultural cluster, promote environmentally conscious business practices, and increase SME competitiveness in border areas. The project included a vocational training program for gatherers and growers of medicinal herbs and organic plants, and the procurement and installation of equipment for a laboratory that would provide easily accessible services, even to producers from the Croatian side of the border. Achievements: The vocational training program trained 104 participants. The lists of participants show that a total of 1740 people participated in approximately 90 lectures delivered by professionals and in individual consultation sessions. Consultants joined the coordination project for gathering in Spring 2007. By the end of the project, in August, a total of 210 people joined the network, and operations started in 10 points of sale. The cross-border connections in the area of herb production and processing have also improved, and some forms of cooperation have been established.
