PROJECT
FINISHED
Project Healthy'n'wealthy is aimed at 30 young people from six different countries, who will learn, during the exchange, what it means to live a healthy life and how they can, with just minor changes, improve their own way of life. They will learn this through sports, cooking, discussions, testimonials, impro theater and a variety of other methods. The idea for this project originates from the Youth Exchange in Turkey. We want to make it happen because of its encouraging effect on the local environment, because the problem of unhealthy lifestyle can be noted among young people and because we detect an interest for organizing and carrying out the exchange among local youth. Our main objective is to successfully carry out the exchange and to prepare different activities for participants every day that they will co-create. In addition we would like to carry out a two-day advance planning visit and to carry out at least one public event during the exchange itself. Participants of the exchange are coming from Croatia, Turkey, Cyprus, Scotland, Poland and Slovenia, aged 18 to 25, we will try to ensure gender balance of the participants and we will also include participants with fewer opportunities. Main activities are in the field of sports, healthy diet and stress relief methods. Participants will be actively involved in all activities, some will also actively co-create them. At the end of the exchange, participants will be encouraged to think about how they can change and improve their way of life according to everything they learned during the exchange itself. They will also gain an experience of living in a multicultural environment. Partner organizations will transfer the experience and all informations about the topic to their own country and will be able to raise awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyle among youth. During the exchange participants will make a video and newspaper or something else through which they will be able to present their experience and everything they had learned in their local environment, in their sending organizations.
